CENTRAL MARYLAND COUNCIL

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland was established in 1962 and has a combined girl and adult membership of over 35,000. Girls participate in 2000 troops. We are a girl led organization that encourages learning by doing and cooperative learning.
As the largest leadership development organization dedicated solely to girls, we offer the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, where girls Discover themselves, Connect with others and Take Action to create positive change in their communities. Today, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland continues that legacy by ensuring that all girls -regardless of ability, ethnicity, income or circumstance-have the opportunity to develop leadership skills that allow them to make a difference in their schools, communities and the world.
