Girl Scout Membership Star

Super cheap like all of the GSA quality any more! Buy several because they will tarnish and turn dull quickly. For as $$$$ as they are they should look better. Also, the pin will bend super easy and break off.

What these stars represent are great, but they are so poorly made, we are constantly replacing them and/or replacing the backs with the locking backs so they don't fall off and get lost. It would be much better to have small star patches for Troops to purchase for girls that can be sewn on.

The pin broke and the star fell off within minutes of removing it from the package. The same thing happened to 2 other girls in my troop with the same pin.

The design is very low quality and we have had several break.

This is the official Girl Scout Star. It is good quality and fits the Girl Scout discs perfectly.

Two near -constant points of failure: either the backs come loose and the pin falls off the vest and both are lost, or the head of the pin will snap off of the post and the star itself is lost. At this point, the girls in my troop have lost nearly all of their stars. $1.75 is a lot of money for something that the girls need to buy one of each year that breaks almost immediately. It is becoming costly and I think we will stop displaying these on our uniforms.
