What is a Customized Uniform?

For a service fee, we will adhere your Council ID, Troop Number, American Flag Patch, Troop Crest, Insignia Tab, Membership Pin, and World Trefoil Pin to the Vest, Tunic, or Sash of your choosing.


How do I order a Customized Uniform?

You can order a Customized Uniform here. To purchase a Customized Uniform, you must have your Council name and Troop Number on hand. You can order individual Customized Uniforms or get them for your whole troop. Please allow up to 15 business days for production. Upon completion, all orders are shipped via ground delivery. While we make all efforts to get this merchandise to you in a reasonable timeframe, production and delivery may be affected by issues with merchandise suppliers, or carrier limitations.


My troop number is shorter than 5 numbers, how do I adjust the number of numerals?

You can select between 2 and 6 digits for your troop number using the + or - buttons. Please do not add extra 0's to the end of your troop number.


When will I receive my Customized Uniform?

Since every Customized Uniform is made to order, this item is not eligible for expedited shipping and will be created in the order it is received. Once your Customized Uniform is created, you will be billed, and your item will ship the following business day. If you purchase other items from the Girl Scout Shop, they will be billed and shipped separately from your Customized Uniform order.


What is the return and refund policy for Customized Uniforms?

Monogramming

What is Monogramming?

For a service fee, we will monogram your initials to select products. Please allow up to 20 business days for production. Upon completion, all orders are shipped via ground delivery.


When will I receive my Monogramed product?

Since every monogrammed product is made to order, this item is not eligible for expedited shipping and will be created in the order it is received. Once your monogrammed product is created, you will be billed, and your item will ship the following business day. If you purchase other items from the Girl Scout Shop, they may be billed and shipped separately from your monogram order.

Design Your Own Patches

How do I apply my fun patch?

How can I order patches for my troop?

Each unique design must be added to the cart separately. For assistance in placing large orders with unique designs contact our customer service team: Contact Us.


Will there be more design options?

Our team is developing new design options to launch in the Spring. To ensure you are notified of any updates, make sure you sign up for Girl Scout Shop exclusive offers and promotions here.


Why is the Custom Text limited to 13 characters?

We want to make sure that there is enough space for your personalized message. If there is a production issue with your Custom Text, we will reach out to you to resolve the problem.


When will I receive my order?

Please allow up to 20 business days for your order to arrive. All orders are shipped via ground delivery. This item is ineligible for expedited shipping. If you purchase other items from the Girl Scout Shop, they will be billed and shipped separately from your Design Your Own Fun Patch order.

Custom Upcycled Girl Scout Uniform Tote Bag

What uniform items can I send to make my personal custom tote bag?

You can send your decorated sash, vest, or tunic.


How many uniform items should I send?

You can send any one or two of your decorated items. Do not send three items. If you send a third item, we will only use two of the items (at our discretion) and we cannot return your third item.


Can I send more than one uniform item to make multiple tote bags?

No, we can only make one custom tote bag per order.


How will my uniform item(s) be used?

We’ll incorporate your uniform item(s) into a Refried Custom Tote Bag using our own surplus material.


Do my merit badges need to be sewn on uniform item(s)?

Yes. Your merit badges should be sewn on securely to your items. We cannot be responsible for merit badges that fall off your items during shipping, during the upcycling process, or after you receive your custom tote bag.


Should I include my pins?

No. Please remove all pins before you send your uniform item(s). We cannot upcycle your items with pins attached and we cannot be responsible for any lost pins. You can reattach your pins to your new custom tote bag once you receive it.


Will you cut my uniform item(s)?

Yes. We will cut your uniform item(s) to incorporate into the new tote bag for a unique look and overall upcycled appeal. We will avoid cutting through any sewn-on merit badges if possible.


Will you use incorporate all of my merit badges?

We may or may not incorporate all of your badges. We will send any unused badges back to you in your new custom tote bag.


Can I send more than one uniform item to make multiple tote bags?

No, we can only make one custom tote bag per order.


Where do you get your surplus material?

Refried Apparel creates upcycled products for many organizations, retailers and brands. In doing so, we create our own surplus inventory which we cycle back into our innovative process. We also source unsold/surplus clothing that is destined for the landfill or incinerator and put the material to good use.


Can I choose the colors of your surplus material?

You can leave that to us. We have an extensive supply of surplus material in more colors than you can imagine. We will select complimentary fabric colors and material types to ensure that each tote bag we create is unique and one-of-a-kind.


Does the surplus material that you use have graphics on them?

No. We only use blank areas of surplus material so that it doesn't visually compete with the material of your decorated uniform items.


Can I request a different style tote bag than what you offer?

Sorry, but we only offer one style tote bag at this time.


How do I care for my Refried tote bag?

Refried tote bags care just like any cotton or cotton-blend garment or accessory. However, we suggest caring for your custom tote bag as you would your decorated uniform items with sewn-on badges.


What is the turnaround time?

We will ship your new custom tote bag to the address you provide within 2-3 weeks from the time we receive your item(s).
