Girl Scout Brownie Handbook

I echo the reviewer asking for the full book including badge requirements like in the 80s. I loved perusing the book and learning about badges and it made things easier for our leaders. The girls LOVE looking at the whole book. Thank goodness we at least have one of the old binders, but this is such a disappointment.

It is next to impossible to let the girls decide what badges to look at when there are no book of badges with requirements included. We can't be girl led if they have nothing to look at to decide which requirements they want to do. Bring back the old Badge books to help the girls review and decide which badged they want to work on.

This is our first year in Girl Scouts and I have to agree with the other reviews. We find it very frustrating to try finding what badges are available, how to earn them, and how to wear them. If its costs driving the decision to create individual pamphlets for each badge, just increase the cost for the ONE COMPREHENSIVE BOOK! It should be that difficult. If it is, please be more transparent with the reasons for decisions like this. If my daughter was not enjoying her troop, I would have pulled her out by now.

Bought this for each our our brownie girls this year, it was a complete waste. No useful information. Where are all the badge requirements? How to do a journey? Girl Scouts used to have all this information in the guidebook and made being a leader so much easier. But this is thin book with useless fluff, of no interest to girls and useless to leaders. Very Disappointed.

I’d like to be able to help my granddaughter with getting badges at home, but there is absolutely nothing that helps me do that! Girl Scouts used to be here to help girls become responsible and learn things. But this has become nothing but a money make on backs of these children. Cookies keep going up in price and the troops still get very little to work with.
