NEW - Official Adult Recycled Vest

After reading the reviews on the other vest I went with this one. I’m glad I did because it’s super comfortable. I love the zip pockets. It runs a little big. I’m usually between a small and medium and got the small. I still have more than enough room to wear a sweatshirt under. I’ve since machine washed and dried it without any issue. The patches I’ve added are holding up fine as well.

It's a little on the big side but I love the material.

I am petite but have a larger bust, so I ordered a medium (I measure 36 inches around bust.) It swallowed me! It was very long as well. The material is stretchy, so if you are in the same boat, don’t order a size up to fit your chest.

I have always been a true Medium (5’1”, 138#). The medium was HUGE on me and too long.

I tried this on and it made me look like a rectangle. Unisex cut is not for anyone with a waist smaller than hips and bust. If it fits over the hips, it bags at the waist. If it fits at the waist, it's too tight in the bust and hips (even with stretch). If you don't zip it up, it's fine.

Seems to be nicely made. Good weight, feels good. Regular nylon/poly zipper now instead of the problematic metal zipper on the older version. Appreciate the details such as the soft ribbed collar that lays flat rather than stands up. Wish the drawstring had been located at the waist to nip it in a bit rather than the bottom hem which seems useless. Am a bit leery about putting a hot iron on this fabric to attach the iron-on patches. I HOPE they tested this before putting it on the market. There is a warning not to iron over the logos ("Girl Scouts" on the back of the neckline and a Trefoil on the front.) I am a medium 10/12 and this is actually sized a bit too large, particularly the armholes. Thinking it was designed purposely to fit over a sweater or even a lightweight fleece jacket for those chilly cookie sales, and in response to the original adult vest running 1-2 sizes too small.

I like this vest. The material is soft and flexible while also seeming durable. It’s a little long on me, but not too bad. I’m 5’4” for reference. It’s true to size or maybe even a little big. More unisex fit.

I’m so glad I waited and didn’t buy the other adult vest that had terrible reviews due to sizing and fit. This vest fits true to size with just enough wiggle room that I will be able to wear a sweater of light jacket underneath. It is slightly stretchy knit material and it has big roomy pockets!

We tried these on at the convention and LOVED them so much that we 3 leaders had to buy them. Pockets are huge and have zipper closers, no more neck stabbing and the fit is true to size for once with Girl Scout adult women apparel.

Sizing runs true to size (or a bit large). Pictured in a Large (my typical shirt size) but I ended up buying a Medium since I wanted a more fitted look. These are women's sizes, but it fits like a unisex style. Men could purchase by sizing up a size. Material is soft with a slight stretch to it. Collar falls right at my clavicle (doesn't jab your neck the way the prior vest does). Pockets are deep enough to be useful AND they zip closed! Bottom hem is adjustable to be fitted or straight. Includes the words "Girl Scouts" on the back below the neck in addition to the logo on the front pocket.

Vest fits well a bit roomy which was my goal (to account for more layers in Fall/Winter). Pockets are nice. Stitching all my patches on now so I'm ready for the next Girl Scout event!
