Official Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Vest

The lightweight is nice especially in the hot weather in Florida. However, because of the use of recycled product, it makes it harder to iron-on awards/patches. There is a fine line between warm enough to attach a patch and too warm, which has the effect of 'melting'.

I followed the size chart and my granddaughter's measurements, to receive the vest which was large enough for myself to wear....

But the sizing is a little funky, it’s quite large, and the material has a lot of fraying around the seams, the quality doesn’t seem very high. But it’s not like you have a lot of options for purchasing this fast and it will do OK. I also think the price is a little funky for what you get in especially considering that you need to buy a bunch of other stuff at the same time like the badges that in reality the vest is probably not worth $10, quality wise but to be paying probably $70-$100 just to get a vest ready to go is a little bit rough.

The sash is long enough for our taller seniors. The texture of the material is much softer than they were with a silky feel over cloth. The pocket is just large enough for a cell phone but the scouts how yet to try them out at an event to see if the intent of the pocket holds up to expectations.

Unfortunately this just feels very cheap and flimsy - definitely not quality for the price. The idea that this is going to last for seven years feels extremely optimistic. If you can find an older one with higher quality fabric, I'd go for that!

Sizing is not accurate vest is way too big for my 13 yr old

I purchased a teen XL for my daughter, using the sizing guidelines. I ordered up a size hoping it would fit for a few years. The vest is large enough to fit me, a women’s size 20. It looked comically huge on my daughter. Disappointed to lose shipping fee, and have to ship a new vest.

Patches are ironed on and not sewn on the vest. Better to be sewn on so they don’t come off.

The material is absolutely exquisite and very nice quality. Sizing appears to fit on the smaller side. I ordered what I thought would be large enough to get my daughter through at least the next three years of Cadettes, but it looks like she'll be needing another vest when she crosses over to Seniors and Ambassadors. Really hard to determine how fast your child is going to grow at such a young age. Definitely worth the price and will last a long time. This vest will outlast my daughters time as a Cadette.
