What should girls and adults wear to official Girl Scout events?
You’re part of a shared heritage more than 110 years in the making—and it shows when you wear your Girl Scout uniform. Required at all Girl Scout events, each girl wears one official uniform item: a vest, sash, or tunic she can customize with each new achievement. Wondering what to wear with your sash, vest, or tunic? Girls have plenty of options with our official apparel collection or the classic pairing of a white tee with khakis or a skirt. For adults representing Girl Scouts or participating in events, options include anything from our official apparel collection or navy blue attire with an official Girl Scout scarf, tie, or adult vest and insignia.
What is your policy on uniforms
Girl Scouts at each level have one required element (Tunic, Sash or Vest) for the display of official pins and awards which will be required when girls participate in ceremonies or officially represent the Girl Scout Movement.
For all girls, the unifying look includes wearing a choice of a tunic, vest or sash for displaying official pins and awards, combined with official apparel or their own solid white shirt with khakis or a skirt and a scarf. For adult members the unifying look includes anything from our official uniform apparel collection or navy blue attire with an official Girl Scout scarf, tie, or adult vest and insignia.
What is your policy on special awards?
Most earned awards such as badges and pins by grade level are available for purchase on the official Girl Scout Online Store. Girl Scout badges, patches, awards, and other insignia should be presented, worn, or displayed only after Girl Scouts have completed the requirements outlined in the appropriate program materials.
Special Recognition Awards and the Girl Scout highest awards such as Gold and Silver award items are not available for purchase online. Council verification is needed for these items.

Where do I place insignia, pins, and badges on my uniform?

Customized and Personalized Products
What is a Customized Uniform?
For a service fee, we will adhere your Council ID, Troop Number, American Flag Patch, Troop Crest, Insignia Tab, Membership Pin, and World Trefoil Pin to the Vest, Tunic, or Sash of your choosing.
How do I order a Customized Uniform?
You can order a Customized Uniform here. To purchase a Customized Uniform, you must have your Council name and Troop Number on hand. You can order individual Customized Uniforms or get them for your whole troop. Please allow up to 20 business days for production. Upon completion, all orders are shipped via ground delivery. While we make all efforts to get this merchandise to you in a reasonable timeframe, production and delivery may be affected by issues with merchandise suppliers, or carrier limitations.
When will I receive my Customized Uniform?
Since every Customized Uniform is made to order, this item is not eligible for expedited shipping and will be created in the order it is received. Once your Customized Uniform is created, you will be billed, and your item will ship the following business day. If you purchase other items from the Girl Scout Shop, they will be billed and shipped separately from your Customized Uniform order.
