Sizing is weird and material is stiff. I wear a 16

Sizing is weird and material is stiff. I wear a 16/18 but ordered a 3x based on a shirt I already own that I was able to try on at the scout shop. This one is about 2 1/2” shorter and looks very boxy bc of the stiff material
