NORTHWESTERN GREAT LAKES COUNCIL

About Us

Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes (GSNWGL) formed in 2008, the result of a nationwide organizational realignment. Formerly six separate Councils now comprise GSNWGL, which partners with 5,000 volunteers, serves approximately 16,000 girls, and covers 58 counties across northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Council Vision
We are a viable, visible, girl-centered organization responsive and appealing to our members, volunteers, and staff. We engage quality individuals to help us deliver relevant programs that offer a lasting, positive impact.

Store Locations & Hours

As Safer-at-Home orders in Wisconsin and Michigan are being lifted, organizations and businesses are making decisions about how and when to open to the public. At this time, for the safety of our staff and members, all Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes facilities remain closed to the public, including service centers, shops, business offices and camp properties. We will re-evaluate at the end of June and communicate any changes at that time. We are here to serve you and help with any orders you may need, so please let us know what we can do for you. Our retail team is still working and is available to contact during business hours. Hours for June 2020 are Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Fridays 8:30 AM – Noon. Shops are available for curbside pick-up orders on Mondays and Thursdays.

With our summer camp locations being closed, we are busy planning an amazing summer of outdoor fun for EVERYONE. Better yet it is totally FREE!
When Girl Scouts can't camp out they Camp'IN! And a big part of the camp experience is the Trading Post. Our online Trading Post is the perfect place to spend Fall Bucks and Cookie Dough on things close to a camper's heart. You'll see a lot of your old favorites here along with new items and even some super fun mystery boxes!

We are in a rapidly changing and delicate time and the COVID19 virus and the scientific recommendations of health organizations will continue to guide our behaviors and decisions. We ask that you remain patient, as we make decisions with everyone’s health and safety in mind and move into summer.

As always, we’re extremely grateful for the opportunity to serve you and for your support of Girl Scouting.
